Maelstrom is a normal unique Yew Wand found in Diablo 2 Resurrected. Maelstrom has a Dark Blue tint.

Maelstrom carries 30% Faster Cast Rate at level 14, a number no other unique matches until Suicide Branch at level 33. The granted skills are worth as much, since Corpse Explosion, Amplify Damage, Iron Maiden and Terror together amount to most of what a Necromancer can usefully cast at that level, without a point spent on any of them. The lightning damage and resistance are incidental.

How to upgrade Maelstrom

You can upgrade Maelstrom to a Petrified Wand with the following cube recipe:

1 Ral Rune + 1 Sol Rune + 1 Perfect Emerald + Maelstrom

When upgrading Maelstrom to a Petrified Wand the level requirement will increase to level 30.
