Insight Runeword

Insight is a Diablo 2 Resurrected Runeword created by combining Ral + Tir + Tal + Sol into 4 socket Polearm, Staff or Missile Weapon. It requires at least level 27 to equip. Insight was first released in patch 1.10.

Insight is one of the most important progression runewords in Diablo 2 Resurrected because the

Meditation Aura almost completely solves mana sustain for caster builds. Because the required runes are relatively cheap, players often reroll Insight to get level 17 Meditation aura.

Best Mercenary Bases

• Ethereal Thresher
• Ethereal Giant Thresher
• Ethereal Cryptic Axe

Thresher and Giant Thresher are popular because of their fast attack speed, while Cryptic Axe provides higher damage.

Best Early Game Bases

• Partizan
• Bill
• Poleaxe

These bases are easier to obtain during Normal and Nightmare progression, but really any 4-socket polearm you can find will do the trick. In very early ladder it can be handy to use Larzuk's Siege on Harrogath reward on a Voulge or Bill as this will guarantee a 4-socket base.

Since Patch 2.4, Insight can also be made in Bows and Crossbows.

Mercenary Usage

Insight is most commonly used on Act 2 mercenaries because the

Meditation aura affects both the mercenary and the player. Prayer mercenaries are especially popular because

Prayer synergizes with

Meditation, providing passive healing while the aura is active.

Iron Golem

Necromancers sometimes create an

Iron Golem from Insight to permanently gain the Meditation aura without using a mercenary weapon slot. This is especially popular on Summon Necromancers and caster-focused builds.
