Pluckeye is a normal unique Short Bow found in Diablo 2 Resurrected. Pluckeye has a Cyan Blue tint.

Two versions of this item exist. The updated one only drops on Ladder with Reign of the Warlock in Season 15, in Diablo II: Resurrected the original still drops, with its old stats. See everything that is Ladder-only in Season 15.

Pluckeye is the earliest unique bow in the game, and it is carried for mana sustain rather than damage. An Amazon at level 7 holds around 24 mana, roughly seven casts of Cold Arrow, and regeneration at starting Energy is slow enough that the pool, not the monsters, decides how often a skill fires. The +2 to Mana After Each Kill does most of the refilling. The 3% Mana Stolen Per Hit contributes far less, because steal is taken from the damage actually dealt and a bow this small lands only a handful of points per shot.

Witherstring replaces it at level 13 and fires level 3 Magic Arrow on ordinary attacks, which costs no mana and largely removes the problem Pluckeye patches. The useful window is therefore six levels of Act I. Across that stretch the +10 to Life counts for more than the number suggests, since an Amazon at level 7 with nothing spent on Vitality has about 62 life, so the bow adds a sixth of the pool.

When upgrading Pluckeye to an Edge Bow the level requirement will increase to level 23.
