EDITED SAVEGAME DOESNT APPEAR WHEN I TRY TO LOAD

ive tried mant times to edit the file and then change it to the destination but when i try to open the game to load theres nothing there other savegames ive downloaded wor fine but theyre 99lvl and u start from chapter 1 i wanted to start from act 3 cuz i lost mine ther due to corrupted files the power was cut off i lost all my stach i had allot i scattered every inch of the map till act 3 i tried just editing a single sword just to see if anything changes it still didnt appear in the load menu of the game whats making me mad ive downloaded other savegames and it appeared even from the original diablo 2 and i have the resurructed version 1.3 but the moment i edit it it doesnt appear.
